1939 Photo Album For A Trip From Sacramento Up Through Oregon
Original diary of a couple's two-week auto trip from Sacramento up through Oregon, towing their new small hump-backed trailer. Departed, July 16, 1939; arrived back home, July 30, 1939. The pair stopped at Crater Lake, Deschutes River, Pauline Lake (three days, lots a fishing), Bonneville Dam, Eugene, McKenzie River, Oregon Caves, Patrick's Point, and Richardson Grove (where, after the camp-fire talent show, "The 'teen-age' were doing the shag on an open-air floor and we join them in our sedate manner feeling quite conspicuous"). "Happy to report that trailer was swell and the trip was perfect." With 15 original mounted photographs. Written in a very clear script. Very good.
