(Colorado) REPORT ON THE MISER-GUADALOUPE GROUP OF MINES. MARIAN MINING COMPANY. JASPER, COLORADO. OCTOBER, 1930. 14, (1) pages typed on rectos only, plus five plates and a large folding map (36" x 21 1/2") titled PLOMO MINE - COSTILLA COUNTY, COLORADO. Drawn Dec. 16, 1930 and 17 gelatin photographs plus 5 receipts for smelting ore from the American Smelting and Refining Co. All placed within post-bound covers with a written title of COLORADO MINING. The Plomo Mine, also known as the El Plomo Mine and the Rito Seco Mine was at an elevation of 8701 feet and was primarily mined for gold, secondly silver and tertiary for lead. Its last year of production was 1946. The Marion mine was at an elevation of 10, 600' and was mined for zinc, silver, copper and lead. The typewritten report gives a great description of the property, its location, climate and geographical situation, topography and its viable ore vein. The Marion Mining Company established itself in the area beginning in 1880. Overall in vg cond.
